After we transferred the sprouts to another location to get more morning sun, some of the plants thrived, but some did not make it. Some thrived probably because it got enough sunlight, some probably didn't like too much sun. Growth though has been very slow and we suspect it's due to the soil.
Here's an update:
Hybrid lettuce, some growth. Repotted it to see if it'll grow better. |
Cucumber, our MVP for now :) |
The star tomato grew a bit more, but oooh something popped up on the side! Not sure what it is though. |
Sweet Basil, grew a bit more. We're hoping it'll flourish. |
Mustasa, a bit frustrated it's growing so slowly. Argh. |
Bell pepper, just moved it from the laundry area and it looks happier with more sun. |
The snow peas have died :( Trying again. |
Big wave lettuce, probably got leggy because it didn't get enough sunshine before. |
Romaine lettuce has so far been the hardest to grow. Re-starting by planting new seeds again. |
Curly parsley, growing slow, will have to add fertilizer. |
Rope tomato, happy to see it's grown a bit. Will re-pot soon.
We're learning a lot from this season of planting. We didn't expect that the conditions would be so much different from when we were gardening from our balcony in Singapore. Always thought it would be much easier, but it's not! Haha. Hope to get better results as we go along. |
